@pigworker Were you the one tooting about having worked on a homemade #VLE some time ago? If so, do you have any #FLOSS recommendations for a test-based grading system for programming homeworks?

I've just almost gone mad trying to figure out what is wrong with a "calculated type" question on #Moodle (our #VLE) that is misbehaving. Between a weird bug somewhere deep in Moodle and my own struggle to parse excel-like (but not exactly) formulas with little variables, I've blown almost 3 hours, done my head in, and haven't done any of the things I had planned to do today. Sigh. Many thanks to our Digital Education wizards for support but even they can't solve it. #academiclife

What online learning environments do you & your students favour when it comes to mainly asynchronous teaching with some synchronous interaction (eg forums/discussion boards)?
