Talks are indirect, Iran in one room and US in another. Oman mediator conveys messages. Trump can say whatever he likes, talks are indirect.
The first round focused on nuclear program and sanctions relief.
"An Omani source told Reuters that the talks also touched on regional de-escalation, prisoner exchanges, and limited deals to ease US sanctions in exchange for curbs on Iran's nuclear activities"
