This article is encouraging -- to the extent it highlights how very far Australia is from reaching their goals to end "#domesticviolence".

But it's also a frustrating read because it explores the well-intentioned, but generally misguided, government strategies.

I've not found many folks here focused on #IPV so I'll just leave it at that. 😶

Does anyone know ANYTHING about the Domestic Violence Hotline's "AI Ruth Pilot Project"? I am trying to research more about it but they paused it and it's hard to find info.

It's basically an AI chatbot for people experiencing Domestic Violence which...I am sure we have mixed feelings about

Disappointing but not surprising.

▪️ OVW (Office on Violence Against Women) has removed current grant opportunities from its website.

(OVW is a component of DOJ and one of the largest funders for programs supporting survivors of IPV.)

👉🏽 However:
DOJ is providing "major disaster flexibilities" to OVW funding recipients who've been impacted by the CA wildfires.

It's Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month (#tdvam) and still silence from this administration.

just learned that the VAWnet website is semi-down. You used to be able to find a list of resources (like helplines) that addressed intimate partner violence for the LGBT+ community, teens, families, and more. Run by the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence...wonder what happened? It was accessible 2 weeks ago.
